Returns & Exchanges: 45 Days to Return or Exchange

These are the return policies of the our USA website. International dealers may have significantly different return policies. If you bought from another website, you should review the return policies for that site. However, international bias lighting orders are covered under the MediaLight or LX1 Warranties regardless of where they are sold (just be sure to have an invoice). 

If you encounter a problem with your MediaLight or LX1, every problem is covered under our comprehensive 5 year warranty (2 years for LX1)However, perhaps you didn't know what you ordered or returned your TV and no longer need your unopened and unused MediaLight. If the red backing has been removed, it is not returnable.

If you are testing our products, feel free to order some free gaffer tape for a temporary installation and you are considering a bulk order, always order only one unit to test the suitability for your facility.

You don't need a reason to return your unopened and unused MediaLight for a refund, and there is no restocking fee, however, we do sometimes deduct for missing items or if multiple items are used and returned in unusable condition (Please contact us for sizing information instead of trying on multiple sizes!) These fees are enumerated at the bottom of this page. 

You don't need to provide a reason for a return, but doing so:

1) May expedite your refund as it saves us some time in testing the returned item
2) May allow us to solve your problem if the return is due to a malfunction or installation issue

Please contact us to receive a return merchandise authorization number (RMA) to write on the package. Unauthorized returns without an RMA may be difficult to match to an order, resulting in the loss of the item and any refund to which you may have been entitled. Please be aware that shipping is not refundable and we don't pay return shipping. However, if you'd like for us to send a return label to you, we are happy to do so and will deduct the cost when a refund is issued.

In keeping with industry standards, Blu-ray discs and packaged media, once opened, are ineligible for refunds. Likewise, downloads are ineligible for refunds. Defective or damaged discs are always eligible for exchange. 

All bias lights are eligible for free exchanges.

In the case of missing components, or extreme and/or intentional damage to our product, we reserve the right to deduct a restocking fee of up to 100% of the value of the returned item. (A full list of missing components and their additional restocking fee charges can be found at the bottom of this page). 

If a unit is returned unused or unopened, there is no restocking fee. Just request an RMA-U (RMA for unopened merchandise) and send it back. 

Please be sure to use a method with tracking, and secure the item well in its mailer. We won't issue a refund if an item is not received or "falls out" of its package. Don't just stick a label to an opened MediaLight or LX1 package. 

If you are unsure about whether you want to use or permanently install the lights, please do not remove the red adhesive backing and don't cut the strip. Use masking tape or other temporary adhesive tape to test the installation before committing to an installation. We won't charge a fee if you peel the lights off your TV, but we are committed to reducing waste. 

Additional restocking fees for missing or customer-damaged components (these charges are in addition to our restocking fees and match our prices for these items when sold individually):

.5m or 4ft extension: $5
AC Adapter: $6.50
USB Switch: $4.00
MediaLight Strip: No refund unless returned
Desk Lamp Hood: $8
Missing MediaLight and LX1 strip segments: Prorated, based on the purchase price.
